There are four kilometers of fireworks exploding in the sky. The people, mostly dressed in white from all social classes, side by side, in peace, in manifestations that mix magic and devotion.
Lagoon
Around the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon there is a circleway of about 7.5 km long and many parks are located there as well.
To me is the best place in the Rio!
Have pubs around ... and you can see a beautiful view as Christ the Redeemer
Rio was founded in 1565.
Was the capital of Brazil, after Salvador, Bahia, for nearly two centuries, from 1763 to 1822 during the Portuguese colonial era.
Centro is the historic centre of the city there are several landmarks of the Belle Époque.
Arcos da Lapa, a Roman-style aqueduct built around 1750. A bondinho (tram) leaves from a city center station, crosses the aqueduct (converted to a tram viaduct in 1896) and rambles through the hilly streets of the Santa Teresa neighbourhood nearby.
The Santa Teresa Historic Tramway (bondinho) is still in use today and is a popular attraction tourists. Crosses the old aqueduct and goes through the streets of the neighbourhood.
Sincerely, I´d never go again ... Particularly, I didn´t like!
